Helper / Apprentice - Fireplace & Heatpump

**Opportunity/Summary**

**Key Responsibilities and Functions**

May include but is not limited to the following:

- Assisting gasfitters & WETT certified installers with fireplace installations
- Learning the ins and outs of how to use, install, diagnose, and repair fireplaces of various brands and fuel types
- Learning the ins and outs of **proper** heat pump installation and commissioning procedures
- Respectable appearance & great attitude appropriate for being inside customers’ homes
- Learning & working with basic low voltage and 120V electrical controls
- Ability to work independently and as a member of an installation team
- Working knowledge of computers & iphone
- Technical proclivity - ability & willingness to learn electronic & gas controls
- Warehouse receiving / organization / Cleanup
- Heavy lifting
- Some office & warehouse work, especially during summer season

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Minimum grade 12 education
- Be comfortable with the use of basic hand & power tools
- Residential construction experience
- Maintain valid Class 5/7 Driver’s license in good standing
- Understanding of electrical / electronics is an asset
- Prior customer service & sales ability an asset
- Framing/carpentry experience is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Apprenticeship

**Salary**: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Electrical experience: 1 year (preferred)
