Part-time Office Administrator

Arc Metallurgical Inc. is a forensic consulting engineering company located in Calgary, AB. We are looking for a part-time Office Administrator/Bookkeeper, including accounts receivable and accounts payable, as well as duties related to administrative and clerical tasks. Depending on the individual’s skills and Arc Metallurgical’s needs, the position may develop into increased hours and responsibilities.
**Duties**:
- Manage paper and electronic A/R and A/P, and update Quickbooks Online
- Post invoices in QBO
- Liaise with offsite bookkeeper as needed
- Manage outstanding invoices; follow-up with clients (or their A/P) on payments, issues with invoices, etc.
- Prepare and submit exhibit archive invoices. May include follow-up with clients on status of exhibits in accordance with storage terms (6 or 12-month terms).
- Maintain bookkeeping/office procedures
Possible future extensions:
- Input payroll using ADP software including monthly expenses/benefits
- Preparation of business metrics (KPI) from QBO and BQECore
- Full-time position (with benefits)
- Create and implement new procedures
**Requirements/Qualifications**:
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, MS Outlook/Word/Excel etc. and QuickBooks Online
- Ability to learn other timekeeping software (BQECore)
- Computer literacy/ability to troubleshoot/rapid skill acquisition
- Combination of work experience and/or academic background to show capability to manage administrative/bookkeeping/clerical duties
Work will be in-person. We require an in-person interview. Please provide two career or academic references.
