**Job Title**: Weekend Live-In Personal Support Worker (PSW)
**Location**: Fenelon Falls, Ontario
**Schedule**: Every Other Weekend (Saturday to Monday)

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide live-in care for a senior gentleman in his private home located in Fenelon Falls. The role will require you to work every other weekend, from Saturday to Monday, providing care and companionship to ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of the client.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Help with mobility and transfers, ensuring the client’s comfort and safety at all times
- Provide medication reminders and ensure medication is taken as prescribed
- Assist with light housekeeping duties, including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and tidy living environment
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversation or activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Monitor health and wellbeing, observing any changes in condition and reporting concerns to the appropriate parties
- Provide assistance with meal planning and preparation, catering to any dietary needs or preferences
- Assist with general daily living activities, ensuring the client remains as independent and comfortable as possible
- Respond promptly to any emergencies or urgent needs as they arise

**Qualifications**:

- Personal Support Worker certification or equivalent training
- Experience in providing care to seniors, particularly in a live-in capacity, is an asset
- Ability to work independently and manage the responsibilities of the role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient approach
- Ability to handle light physical tasks, including lifting or assisting with mobility
- First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
- A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (preferred but not required)
- Criminal background check for vulnerable sector required
