**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Accurately process transaction through the POS
- Able to cook items on the menu using the equipment provided
- Maintains the highest level of standards for all product preparation including proper grinding of coffee beans and top quality drinks
- Familiarize with drink and food menu and recipe and how to make each items
- Bring out food and drinks to the customer in a timely manner
- Upsell on food and drink items
- Responsible for maintaining the espresso machine and thoroughly cleaning at end of each business day
- Keep work area clean and organized so that co-workers and management can locate resources and products as needed
- Restock shelves when necessary
- Routinely clean the bar area, floor, windows and grinders, and take out trash, etc.
- Assists in the distribution of weekly shipments
- Assists in completing the opening and closing checklists

**Customer Service**:

- Greet every customer with a friendly smile and positive attitude
- Is honest and promotes the values and mission of the Board N Brew Café
- Provides excellent customer service and builds rapport with customers by learning names and favorite drinks
- Responds appropriately to customer concerns
- Communicates customer complaints to management
- Deliver consistent and quality service and products to every customer
- Answers telephone in a courteous and friendly manner including, but not limited to, giving store greeting, directions to store location, and receiving and filling customer orders
- Educate customers on our products and services
- Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products

**Accountability**
- Adheres to company dress code
- Respects peers and management by being on time for scheduled shifts
- Adhere to appropriate standards of behavior in the workplace and to behaviors outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Ensures accountability of company funds and inventory
- Report potential safety hazards to the manager on duty
- Report all employee manager accidents to the manager on duty
- Communicates with co-workers and management to solve problems and improve the quality of products and services
- Maintain continuous communication with co-workers during peak business hours

**Education & Experience**:

- Barista experience is required
- Serving experience is an asset but not required
- Kitchen experience is an asset but not required
- Previous experience with POS register system is an asset
- ProServe is required
- Must be available to work weekdays and weekends
- Must be available to work open shifts and closing shifts on weekdays and weekends

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $15.00 per hour
