Simaril Supported Living is presently seeking new Board Members to complement the diversity, skills, and experiences of our current Board of Directors.
- Simaril_ Inc_. supports people to live and thrive as inclusive community members. Using a person-centred approach, we have expanded services and opportunity for people with intellectual disabilities, providing homes and Supported Independent Living programs. Growth of services and people supported, have evolved because of a need for services, passionate Board members and staff and a strategic plan to chart our course._
As a governance board, the role of our Board Members is to provide good governance and policy direction, engage at the strategic level, and evaluate performance based on outcomes. We hold four scheduled Board meetings per year. In addition, Board Members are expected to be available for the occasional ad hoc committee and attend networking events hosted by our organization.
We are committed to principles of equity, diversity and inclusion and welcomes persons of all sexual and gender identities, Indigenous peoples, racialized persons, persons with disabilities, and others from across the province of Manitoba to consider this opportunity.
