Sales and Business Development

You will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities, maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients, and promoting the company’s transportation services. You will focus on generating new sales leads, negotiating and closing deals, and developing strategic partnerships within the transportation, logistics, and industrial sectors, including oil and gas, mining, and other heavy industries.
1- Sales Strategy and Business Development:
- Identify new market opportunities within the coach transportation sector, particularly in industries like oil and gas, construction, mining, and remote workforce transportation.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales and business development strategy aligned with the company’s growth goals.
- Prospect, qualify, and engage new clients by cold calling, networking, attending industry events, and leveraging existing relationships.
2- Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at prospective and existing client companies.
- Develop customized solutions based on client needs, presenting coach services such as employee transportation, shuttle services, charter services, and long-distance travel options.
- Act as the main point of contact for customer accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and addressing any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
3- Revenue Growth and Sales Targets:
- Meet or exceed sales targets by closing new contracts, renewing existing contracts, and upselling services.
- Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contract terms, and close business deals with a focus on profitability and long-term client partnerships.
- Track and report on sales performance, forecasts, and market trends, and use this data to adjust strategies as needed.
4- Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and potential new service offerings.
- Provide insights into emerging opportunities and recommend strategies to capitalize on market shifts.
5- Partnership Development:
- Develop partnerships with related businesses, such as hotels, tour operators, event organizers, and industrial companies to drive new business.
- Collaborate with other departments (operations, marketing, finance) to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
6- Contract Management and Compliance:
- Ensure that all contracts are properly documented and comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor client satisfaction throughout the contract lifecycle and work with operations to address any service delivery concerns.
**Qualifications**:
Experience:
- 3-5+ years of experience in sales and business development, preferably within the coach transportation, logistics, or industrial transportation sectors.
- Proven track record of closing deals and meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.
**Skills**:
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact with clients at all levels of an organization.
- Understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards (an asset). Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

**Job Type**:Full-time, Permanent
**Hours of Work**:Monday through Friday, occasional evenings and weekends, 40 hours a week, flexible scheduling.
**Travel**: 20-30% of travel within BC is anticipated.
**Location**: Remote-hybrid options are available with an on-site presence in any of the TRAXX's BC worksites, in Delta, Burnaby, Kamloops, or Kelowna.
