We are currently looking for Operations Supervisor in Edmonton. This position will mostly entail managing day to day operations of Jones Transportation.

We are a diversified company and are looking for people that are flexible to work in all areas.

**What you will do**:

- Establish work schedules and procedures
- Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
- Ensure transport safety compliance with regulations
- Arrange for maintenance and repair work
- Resolve day to day work related problems
- Recruit, train, mentor and supervise staff
- Conduct performance reviews
- Co-ordinate, assign and review work
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations

**What you will need**:

- 5+ years of related experience in long haul transportation industry
- University degree or College diploma with specialized training in a related field (i.e. transportation compliance)
- Must have a strong organizational aptitude, be detailed oriented and have excellent time management skills
- Must have strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Must be a team player who is customer-oriented and self-motivated with a proven ability to interface confidently with internal and external stakeholders
- Must have strong computer skills using Microsoft office suite including Outlook, Excel, Word and Axon Transportation management system.
- Class 1 driver's License will be an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
