Working as part of a small company that needs to rely on you each day, as a solid supportive team member.
You will be expected to work primarily in Kemptville, but will need to be able to travel to Brockville, once a week (or more to cover a shift now and then). You must have a driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
This is a sales positon, so you must be outgoing and ready to communicate with customers in a focused way. You will need to quickly learn our procedures and products and be able to assist customers.
Your training will be paper based, computer on line and by example.
You are collaborative supportive and automatically pitch in to help colleagues.
Must be reliable day after day, be a self-starter, work to a set schedule, and pay attention to detail.
You are on time, accurate, organized and understand how to prioritize your work.
Your goal is to focus on quick knowledgeable service to new and long term customers who want an efficient visit without off topic conversation.
Straight days, no evenings. Four days a week, 9 hour shift, including all Saturdays (special occasions off). No Sundays.
You must be able to work Saturdays.
Must wear uniform.
Preset monthly schedule which cannot be easily changed unless emergency.
Cash register, POS and customer retail experience.
Suggestive selling based on product knowledge.
Stocking, daily cleaning, product demand estimating and ordering.
Regular lifting (up to 40 lb products) required.
Some basic bookkeeping required.
Experience communicating with product representatives, distributors is an asset.
Credit processing, inventory management and counting, would be helpful.
Regular display set up, rotation, presentation required, and creativity necessary.
Drivers licence (with winter driving never a problem).
Must know Excel, Word and do weekly computer data entry. Training on other software expected.
Job procedure training provided and a comprehension test is required.
Potential for store manager’s position with training and experience.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16-32 per week
**Salary**: $16.00-$17.00 per year
