We have an immediate one year position available for an Assembly Technician within our Stack Engineering team. As a highly motivated individual, you will have the opportunity to work in our advanced prototyping lab, where we bring new fuel cell technologies to life. **YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES** - Collaborate with a dynamic team of engineers on the development of innovative fuel cell technologies - Take operational ownership of prototyping equipment including scheduling, maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleanliness - Build and finish prototype parts utilizing various rapid prototyping equipment - Hands on assembly of fuel cell stacks for customers worldwide - Assist with prototyping lab setup, equipment specifications and sourcing, layout, and material flow processes - Become an expert on various machines to accommodate numerous R&D requests quickly and with high quality **YOUR PROFILE** - Degree/Diploma in Industrial/Mechanical Technology is preferred. - 2+ years of experience operating prototyping and manufacturing equipment - Proficient with common workplace software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) - Working CAD experience is a plus - Mechanically-inclined and value working with your hands - Demonstrated skill in assembly, rapid fabrication - Experienced using a variety of hand tools & measurement devices - Able to document and interpret technical procedures - Can read and understand dimensional and assembly drawings and measurement data - Great attention to detail, reliable, and self-motivated - Excellent verbal, presentation, and communication skills At AVL FCC we understand that keeping our employees happy requires more than interesting, engaging work.
