Cleaner - Summer Relief

Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital is actively seeking applicants for a Cleaner position. The Cleaner performs necessary cleaning duties as required with the objective of maintaining the hospital facilities in a clean, sanitary and orderly condition.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Keep assigned areas clean by scouring, scrubbing, mopping, polishing, stripping, sealing, buffing and finishing.
- Use housekeeping equipment as required and described in the departmental procedures.
- Prepare cleaning solutions as required by procedures and manufacturer's instructions.
- Remove waste from designated areas.
- Inclement weather and exterior duties as assigned.
- Ensures patient safety and infection prevention and control relating to the position.

**Qualifications Required**:

- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent acceptable to the Hospital.
- Physically able to perform the requirements of the job.
- Able to perform cleaning duties as required, in a clean, sanitary and orderly manner
- Computer knowledge and proficiency preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

**Other pertinent conditions**:

- Salary per the UNIFOR collective agreement ($24.37 per hour)
