We are currently seeking a Logistics & Supply Chain Coordinator to join our Logistics team in Richmond.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Are you ready to drive logistics excellence and make a real impact? As a **Logistics & Supply Chain Coordinator**, you will play a key role in supporting IntermodeX through various channels. From coordinating local drayage to managing intermodal rail transportation, you will be at the heart of our supply chain initiatives, ensuring seamless service for IntermodeX customers across North America.
**WHAT YOU’LL DO**
- **Coordinate Weekly Schedules**: Work with ocean carriers to plan and execute empty repositioning to various ocean terminals from all IntermodeX locations.
- **Partner with Trucking Companies**: Coordinate with trucking providers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries for our Lower Mainland customers.
- **Optimize Equipment Utilization**: Liaise with ocean carriers to maximize equipment use and terminal efficiency.
- **Manage Rail Transportation**: Coordinate with Class 1 railways to ensure smooth delivery and pickup of customer shipments.
- **Resolve Issues**: Troubleshoot way-billing discrepancies, trip plan variances, and recovery plans while keeping all stakeholders informed.
- **Engage with Terminals**: Communicate with terminal personnel about equipment availability, space allocation, and forward-looking forecasts.
- **Support Invoicing**: Collaborate with the Office Administrator to address invoicing discrepancies related to drayage or reservation fees.
- **Drive Continuous Improvement**: Assist in developing and implementing contingency plans, corrective actions, and standard operating procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- **Be a Team Player**: Provide backup support to the Senior Logistics Coordinator.
**WHAT YOU BRING**
We are looking for someone with the right blend of knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in this role.
**Knowledge**
- 2-3 years of experience in the transportation or logistics industry.
- Familiarity with terminal reservation systems and container shipping processes (an asset but not required).
- Post-secondary education in transportation, logistics, international trade, or related discipline (preferred).
- Proficiency in English and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word).

- Positive, professional, and approachable demeanour with strong interpersonal skills.

This role requires excellent communication skills to adapt to rapidly changing operational plans. You’ll work closely with:
