Mount St. Mary Hospital is a long term care facility providing care to 200 residents located in the beautiful downtown quarter of Victoria BC.

We are currently seeking an experienced housekeeper to work on a casual basis. We are undertaking additional and enhanced cleaning due to COVID-19, as well as having vacation coverage. Shift opportunities fluctuate based on ongoing hospital requirements.

As a member of the housekeeping team, the Aide / Cleaner assists residents and tends to their home environment needs by performing a variety of house cleaning and laundry duties in an assigned resident house or communal/support area of the hospital.

The team member performs a variety of heavy duty cleaning duties, which includes running equipment such as swing machines and auto-scrubbers. Training will be provided but previous experience is an asset. Manual duties ranging from collecting garbage to changing lightbulbs will also be required.

Qualifications include 1-2 years of related housekeeping experience in an institutional setting, good communication skills and physical ability to complete the duties. Two to Four Shifts will be scheduled per week. Most shifts are from 8 am to 4 pm.
