Café Manager

Prado Café is hiring for a Café Manager for our beautiful location in the Southlands development in Tsawwassen - South Delta.

**Role & Responsibilities**

The store manager’s main responsibility is to manage their stores operations - they must manage all people, processes and procedures and is responsible for the overall success of the store. The Store Manager must have excellent leadership and communication skills, be a role model to their team and be able to provide staff with constructive feedback and hold others and themselves accountable. The following is a list of general duties and the obligations you have as managers to the store, your staff members and customers.

**QSC: Quality, Service & Cleanliness**
- Oversee coffee production and quality of espresso and other beverages
- Oversee food production to ensure top quality baked goods and pastries are prepared
- Oversee complete cleanliness and sanitization of the store
- Oversee customer service and create an inviting and relaxed atmosphere
- Resolve quickly any complaints or issues related to coffee or food quality
- Oversee that all equipment is in good working order

**Hiring, Training & Scheduling**
- Train all staff members in job duties including in sanitation and safety procedures.
- Able to hold themselves and their staff accountable
- Gains the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity and authenticity.
- Generate employee schedules weekly in PUSH while maintaining a labour cost % at or below your store’s labour target.
- Able to foresee hiring needs and conduct employee interviews as needed.
- Perform employee reviews.

**Ordering, Counting & Maintaining Healthy Stock Levels**
- Ensures there is proper stock of supplies (food, ingredients, other supplies) in the store at all times according to par levels.
- Uses historical sales data from Square to increase order accuracy & regularly seeks out ways to improve food cost and order accuracy.
- Has a good understanding of how food cost affects the P&L and what key items in the store affect the food cost outcome the most
- Oversees deliveries and ensures any discrepancies are resolved accurately and quickly
- Performs accurate and thorough inventory counts and has a good understanding of stock, repairs, sales and wastage.
- Maintain a clean and organized stock room

**Reporting/HQO: Reporting Cash & Sending Invoices**
- Reports sales information, invoices, cash deposits and receipts to HQO weekly

Reporting directly to: Regional Manager
