Reporting to the Director, Finance & Operations, the Community Outreach Officer plays an integral role in developing, planning, implementing, analyzing various programs delivered to internal and external users and building relationships with stakeholders and partners that are of strategic importance to the department.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Planning and overseeing the implementation of an evaluation framework for programs and initiatives
- Building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance
- Keeping well-informed on theories related to equity, diversity and inclusion
- Directing the activities of causal staff
- Directing the activities of a single ongoing staff-appointed employee

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum five years experience developing, planning, implementing and analyzing programs
- Minimum two years experience building relationships with stakeholders and partners that are of strategic importance
- Experience providing oversight and guidance to casual employees
- Familiarity with the theories and legislation related to child safety and supervision
- Experience overseeing the implementation of an evaluation framework for programs and initiatives
- Standard First Aid, Basic CPR required
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated conflict resolution and problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment

**Assets (Nonessential)**:

- Experience working in a University/College is preferred.
- Experience with recreation management software
