**Duties and Key Responsibilities**

**Position Title**: Event Operator

**Employment**: Part-Time, Casual

**Primary Purpose**:
The **Event Operator** is responsible for the safe and professional operation of amusement rides and attractions at events, ensuring full compliance with _Technical Standards and Safety Authority_ (_TSSA_) regulations. This role involves direct engagement with clients of all ages, maintaining safety protocols, operating heavy machinery, and upholding the company’s standards of service and presentation. Is expected to maintain accurate self-reporting.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
1. **Operation and Safety Compliance**:
a) Operate TSSA-licensed amusement rides and non TSSA attractions in accordance with manufacturer specifications and TSSA regulations.

b) Maintain a constant safety presence by monitoring participants, enforcing ride rules, and intervening when unsafe behavior is observed.

c) Remain up to date on TSSA safety standards and operational updates while employed.

d) All physical requirements must be fulfilled with reasonable accommodation as per the Ontario Human Rights Code.

1. **Client Interaction and Communication**:
a) Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients and attendees of all ages.

b) Demonstrate strong de-escalation and conflict-resolution skills when required.

c) Provide safety instructions and operational briefings to patrons and supervisors.

d) Must be proficient in English or French to effectively interact with customers and understand regulatory material.

2. **Uniform & PPE Standards**:
a) Must be physically capable of operating heavy equipment and machinery and of performing duties involving lifting, climbing, or standing for extended periods.

b) Responsible for wearing the designated uniform during all shifts.

c) Employees must maintain personal grooming and wear all required protective gear and uniform components as designated by management and aligned with safety policy

3. **Maintenance and Inspection**:
a) Conduct pre
- and post-operation inspections of equipment to identify mechanical or safety issues.

b) Report any maintenance concerns or safety hazards immediately to management.

4. **Time and Expense Reporting**:
a) Submit accurate, timely records of worked hours, travel, and out-of-pocket expenses using the Employer’s designated reporting system.

b) Acknowledge personal responsibility for the costs of data usage or travel when not otherwise reimbursed.

5. **Travel and On-Site Requirements**:
a) Travel to various event locations using personal or company-designated transportation.

b) Arrive on-site in advance of scheduled setup times to complete necessary safety and operational checks.

6. **Representation and Conduct**:
a) Represent PTI Amusements/Partytime Inflatables with professionalism and courtesy at all times.

b) Maintain confidentiality regarding company operations and client relationships.

7. **Other Duties as Assigned**:
a) Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by management.

Pay: $21.75 per hour
