**General Overview**
Cornerstone Christian Community Church is a vibrant, Jesus-centred intercultural Christian community. Our mission is to make space for Jesus to shape people together in God’s love. We are committed to serving our congregation and the local community and our home base is a multi-purpose community centre. We provide a welcoming and inclusive space for worship, community gatherings, and various outreach programs. We are seeking an Operations Manager to help us effectively manage and scale our operations.
**Position Overview**
The Operations Manager will report to and work closely with the Executive Director of Operations (EDO) in overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of Cornerstone’s multi-purpose community center. The Operations Manager will provide assistance to the Executive team and will collaborate with Ministerial Staff to ensure a smooth workflow and execution of missional objectives. This position requires a strong people manager with proven communications skills, a passion for administration, and a commitment to the church’s mission and values.
**Major Responsibilities**:
- Supervise the administrative team to ensure effective office operations.
- Develop and maintain office procedures, workflows, and policies to enhance efficiency.
- Coach and develop administrative staff responsible for supporting the various Ministries across the church, including conducting semi-annual dashboard check-ins and annual performance reviews.
- Work with Ministry Leaders to support and facilitate ministerial objectives, events and programs within the community center.
- Foster positive relationships with church members, local community groups, and partners to promote the use of the center and support outreach programs.
- Ensure all HR policies and procedures are up to date and in compliance with employment standards, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
- Work with EDO to update the Employee Handbook as necessary.
- Work with EDO to develop policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Maintain personnel files for all Church employees regarding salary, time sheets, vacation time, and sick days.
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of staff.
- Draft and review official documents and announcements.
- Collaborate with Facilities Manager as necessary to facilitate the smooth operation of the facility.
- Monitor and manage office budgets and expenses.
- Maintain office supplies and equipment inventory and order necessary supplies.
- Stay up to date with relevant laws and regulations related to the facility.
- Provide support to the executive team in various administrative and organizational tasks, contributing to the efficient functioning of the executive leadership.
**Qualifications**:
- Personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a heart for people and a love for the church.
- Commitment to the church’s vision, mission and values.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field such as Business Management, Operations, Human Resources or a related field.
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a similar community or multi-purpose facility.
- Experience with a church management software or other enterprise resource planning software.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Must be highly organized with a strong attention to detail and good time management skills.

**Salary**: $43,202.46-$54,000.00 per year
