We are seeking a proactive and Experienced Construction* Estimator* to join our team.

The Senior Estimator is responsible for the accurate project estimation and tendering of all of our estimations including, but not limited to, commercial, institutional and civil, projects using Master Format 16 Divisions.

Reporting to the VP of Construction Operations, the Senior Estimator is responsible for reviewing construction drawings and specifications, understanding the design intent, identifying challenging items and errors, performing electronic quantity take-offs, and reviewing, auditing, and levelling sub-trades and supplier prices.

**Job Responsibilities **include, but are not limited to:
**Take-Off’s**
- Prepare electronic quantity take-offs for all self-performed work and materials

**Critical Path**
- Work with the VP of Construction Operations, to develop realistic critical path construction schedules

**Hand-Off Transfer Meeting**
- Set up and lead transfer meetings with the Project Manager, Site Supervisor, and the VP of Construction Operations
- Proactively communicate with project managers the bid requirements and address concerns
- Manage bid documents and lead the hand-off meetings with Project Managers

**Continuous Improvement**
- Build and maintain a team directory of suppliers, supplies and trades
- Contribute to building and following standard operating procedures
- Provide regular continuous improvement recommendations to estimating bidding and processes
- Other duties as required.

**Lead and Mentor**
- Mentor and manage team members as requested

**Required Experience & Skills**:

- Exceptional communication, management, customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- 3-5 years’ experience estimating projects in various types of commercial, institutional, and civil construction
- Strong working experience with MS Project, Office, and construction management, accounting and estimating software
- Technically strong with the ability to analyze the project, architectural, structural, mechanical & electrical plans, specifications and permits
- Strong and effective communication, collaboration, and client service skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
- Strong and proactive organization, and time management skills
- Highly self-motivated, directed, and accountable
- Access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license to drive to project sites throughout the lower mainland
- Live with Canada and are a permanent resident
