Material Handler/forklift Operator

**MATERIAL HANDLER**
**(Union position - IAMAW)**
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Material Handler is responsible for incoming shipments of raw materials.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Receiving
- Organization of inventory stored in the yard
- Staging material for production (doors, gates, ramps) and delivering to production areas as required, must have a valid forklift certificate
- Pick up of parts and raw materials as required
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis as required
- Cycle counts as directed by the Manager
- Yard maintenance; when required snow removal and lawn mowing
- Assist in parts department as required (mínimal)
Success in the position is supported by:
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliability, self-initiative and the ability to multi task
- Valid Class 5, with air endorsement preferred, and prior responsibility in driving company vehicles
- A positive attitude and the ability to quickly build a strong personal rapport
- Occupational First Aid Level 2 is an asset
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $17.44-$22.14 per hour
