The Operations Manager is responsible for the day to day management of the resort and is accountable for planning, organizing, and directing all resort services including front-of-house, rooms/ meeting rooms, events and housekeeping. The property has multiple food and beverage outlets, marine activities and other amenities. We are seeking an energetic Operations Manager with proven leadership qualities who will set an example for staff to deliver a standard of service that meets and exceeds guests’ expectations.
- Support and work with Head of Departments in all aspects of running the resort.
- Act as ‘Manager on Duty’ at all times - constant communication with all departments and guests.
- Conduct regular team meetings with all the HOD daily / weekly to discuss routine operational matters, sales targets, guest feedbacks and action taken for service recovery, and also any staff issues. Minutes of the meeting to be sent to Head Office.
- Monitor the purchase / indent / requests of each department, the accounts receivable (collection from debtors) and the accounts payable (payable to the vendors / suppliers etc.)
- Randomly inspecting the rooms/public space/kitchen area to check the stock in hand (quality, par stock levels, expiry etc.)
- Dealing with Suppliers / Vendors for quality products involving HOD and providing with financial analysis of all operational expenses.
- Monitor the co-ordination between all departments for smooth & efficient operations.
- Assessing and reviewing customer satisfaction and service recovery process.
- Providing timely and constructive feedback to all departments.
- Create Financial reports on a monthly basis - Monitor and maintain operation & overhead cost in order to maintain maximum revenue to the organization.
- Be on available on call 24 hours a day to resolve any urgent problems or emergencies.
- Any other duties assigned.

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**:

- Prior on-the-job experience, the Operations Manager position requires a College Diploma or University Degree in Business Management
- preferably a two year business degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- At least 5 years of experience as an Operations Manager/Hotel Manager preferably with resort experience.
- Proficient with technologies, computers, and Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience in a remote lodge and a general understanding of fishing and the community is considered a strong asset.
