**Salary Range: $67,772 - $84,714**

Works closely with the Administrator Long Term Care, to support in achieving high level objectives and in carrying out their day-to-day business, projects and planning activities. Reporting to the Administrator, Long Term Care, the Coordinator deals with and resolves internal/external enquiries pertaining to the Long-Term Care Home and coordinates responses to requests for data and information from internal and external stakeholders including Finance, Human Resources, Ministry of Long-Term Care and Ontario Health.
**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Works closely with the Administrator to support communication and correspondence and ensure the smooth flow of information.
- Deals with and resolves internal/external enquiries pertaining to Long Term Care Home issues.
- Coordinates and tracks responses to requests for data and information from a variety of sources.
- Keeps abreast of current issues related to high level work of the home, identify action items and ensure appropriate follow up.
- Liaises independently with internal and external contacts on behalf of the Administrator to coordinate meetings. Organizes and maintains the Administrator’s schedule.
- Provides program support to Long Term Care Home Initiatives i.e., committees, peer groups, continuous improvement initiatives, training or onboarding, including scheduling, preparing agendas, recording minutes and identifying action items and ensuring appropriate follow up.
- Supports special projects and coordinating special events, meeting logistics, conferences and other responsibilities relating to the scope of the position as required.
- Prepares miscellaneous correspondence, and other documents.
- Prepares and distributes high level agendas and minutes.
- Prepares slides, spreadsheets, speaking notes when requested by the administrator
- Conducts research to keep abreast of current issues related to high level work of the LTC Division to identify and initiate actionable items and ensure appropriate follow ups are made and accurate timelines are met.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
Minimum requirements: (i.e., certificate, diploma, degree, license, designation)
Successful completion of a Post-Secondary Administrative or Business Studies Program plus a minimum of three (3) years progressive Administrative Support experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience working in a unionized environment with various Collective Agreements is preferred
- Proficient in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; as well as online platforms such as Microsoft Teams and/or Zoom.
- Intermediate Peoplesoft skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and public relation skills to deal with internal and external clients.
- Excellent administrative skills supporting senior management.
- Previous experience with event planning and demonstrated coordination skills.
- Good problem-solving skills and judgment.
- Effective planning and organizational skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to deal with multiple tasks, shifting/changing priorities and operate with a sense of urgency.
- Political astuteness with demonstrated tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner within a collaborative team environment.
