Interested in join the Lower Mainland’s fastest growing waste company? Maple Leaf Disposal, based in Langley, BC, is looking for a Driver Trainer to join our team. We are looking for someone with strong waste industry background. If you are a team focused, organized, and motivated individual Maple Leaf is the place for you.
We are currently seeking a driver trainer to join our dynamic team, reporting to the Operations Manager the driver trainer is responsible for training all new drivers, ensuring safety, teaching safe work practices and helping build up the driver training program with focus on reducing incidents/accidents.
**What you will do**:
- Manage new driver orientations as directed by the Operations Manager & Health & Safety Manager.
- Continued development & updating of driver training manuals & communication to drivers.
- Document and file all training records for drivers.
- Sign off on new drivers after completion of training, conduct 3 month & annual reviews.
- Review drivers abstracts annually or as directed by the Operations Manager.
- Perform site checks as needed to resolve any safety or customer related issues.
- Collaborate with the Operations Supervisors to ensure goals & KPIs for the driving team are being met.
- Other duties as assigned.
**What we require of you**:
- Class 3 BC driver's license with manual transmission endorsement or Class 1 BC driver's license.
- 3-5 years experience driving a Front-End truck or Roll Off truck
- Clean driver's abstract
- Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel)
- Professional & friendly demeanor.
- Self-motivated and goal oriented and being able to work independently.

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
