**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the Production and HR teams to proactively promote employee engagement, safety and wellness initiatives. Active participation in Joint Health & Safety Committee.
- Support hiring, on and offboarding processes.
- Provide end-to-end employee services (including regular follow-up), and program support needs such as attendance and leaves management program (LOA, STD, WSIB, LTD, maternity/parental, etc.), town halls, and employee relations management
- Participate in plant lean initiatives such as Gemba walks, waste reduction production meetings, labour roster meetings, cross-training initiatives, and other continuous improvement activities.
- Coordinate, track and deliver employee training programs to ensure compliance with OHSA, CSA, and other company specific skill and safety development areas
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including device and training certification, attendance, payroll change forms and timekeeping records.
- Stay abreast of the latest employment and human resources best practices.
- Assist the HR team with interesting projects.

**What we are looking for**
- A positive attitude, a willingness to learn and motivation to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong drive for results orientation with the ability to prioritize, plan and execute.
- Post secondary education in Human Resources or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Actively working towards or has attained their CHRP designation.
- Up to 2 years prior experience in HR in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
- Working knowledge of HR practices, procedures, employment laws and principles; exposure to lean principles as applied in a manufacturing plant is a desired asset
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, detail orientation, mathematical, and time management abilities.
- Detail and analytical orientation; capable of handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong MS Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, Outlook

**Working Conditions**:

- This role is primarily based within a manufacturing facility, and the HR Advisor will be expected to work **on-site** providing HR support.
- Up to 32-hours work week; weekly afternoon/evening shift hours and occasional travel to Toronto.
- Preference for working in a highly collaborative, matrixed, team environment
- This is a stand-alone, individual contributor role
