**Overview**

**Duties**
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for processing sales and returns.
- Maintain an organized and clean store environment, including restocking shelves as needed.
- Prepare quotes and sales orders
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries.
- Utilize basic math skills to ensure accurate pricing and change.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and improve sales performance.
- Assist with inventory management and product displays to promote retail sales effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Knowledge in lumber, hardware and building materials is an asset.
- Familiarity with technology sales is a plus, particularly in understanding product features and benefits.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
- A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing store needs.
