Hanrahan Youth Services is a long-term residential treatment agency located in the Region of Peel with satellite settings in the Peterborough area along with York Region and Toronto Region. We began providing residential services in 1995, and over the past 27 years have evolved into a comprehensive and well recognized residential treatment program. We currently operate 14 residential settings and are seeking a suitable individual to fill a FULL-TIME Program Manager position.

POSITION: Full-time Program Manager

HOURS: must be flexible to meet the needs of the staff team and the clients who are receiving services.

SALARY: will commensurate with experience, benefits after three months of service.
- Bachelor degree in Social Work/Social Services or Relevant College Diploma (CYW/CYC) or
- Combined equivalent experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisor/management role
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with behavioural disorders
- Minimum 7 years experience total in residential setting - child welfare environment
- Extensive knowledge of the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services' (MCCSS) licensing requirements
- MCCSS licensing audit experience
- Strong administrative skills

While reporting to the Directors of Residential Service as a Hanrahan Youth Services Program Manager, you will be expected to:

- commit to, and demonstrate, the mission, vision and values of Hanrahan Youth Services.
- coordinate supports for our clients to achieve their goals and develop positive relationships, independence and life skills mastery.
- coordinate staff teams to maximize support for our clients through innovative programming and utilizing the skills and talents of all staff.
- coordinate and oversee the implementation of progressive programming through a “Strength Based Program Philosophy” to promote positive outcomes with the goals and lives of our client group.
- lead and manage staff teams and provide oversight and management of programs/services to ensure they meet:
1. the quality assurance measures, health and safety standards, and fire safety
standards.

2. the legislated requirements under the CYFSA.

3. the licensing requirements and expectations of the MCCSS.
- schedule and participate in staff hiring, training, and evaluating personnel and professional members of the staff team.
- adhere to program budgets and support staff in budget management.
- collaborate with Hanrahan Directors to implement activities to meet the objectives of the agency, policy and procedures and ministry legislative requirements.
- represent Hanrahan Youth Services in consultation and cooperation with Children's Aid Society placement teams during placement planning conferences and any other meetings as directed.
- represent Hanrahan Youth Services in consultation and cooperation with the MCCSS.
- represent Hanrahan Youth Services in consultation and cooperation with Boards of Education.

Schedule:

- 8 - 12 hour shifts
- Monday to Friday
- Day shift and potentially some evening shifts
- Weekend availability when necessary
- On-call expectations

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff are encouraged to wear masks while in our homes and/or with our clients. COVID screening needs to be completed each shift, and rapid tests are required up to three times/week in certain settings (and for unvaccinated staff).
