We are currently looking for a self-motivated and outgoing individual who is looking for a challenging opportunity to join our team as a Carpenter Apprentice. This position performs various job site tasks assigned.

Applicant must have 1 year of experience in construction. He or she must be physically able to perform the duties of the job, which include working from drawings, operating power and hand tools,demolition, structural framing, finishing, drywall etc. If you are looking for a career with growth potential and are committed to personal and professional development, we have a great opportunity for you.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with Lead Carpenters and Site Supervisors/Project Managers
- Carry out all aspects of the construction process.
- Read and understand a set of drawings
- Install doors, windows, flooring
- Repair and renovate residential, commercial and other establishments.
- Responsible for maintaining, cleaning equipment and proper use of PPE
- General labour duties and cleanup as required
- Understands and executes work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Maintains strict attention to detail when working at customer’s property
- Maintains positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other employees

Qualifications:

- Valid carpenters certificate considered and asset, but not required
- Have a minimum of 1 year experience working in construction
- Be in good health and physically fit
- Effective oral communication skills

- Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay

**Experience**:

- carpentry: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class G Licence (preferred)
