**Job Summary**:
Sonora Foods is seeking a Jr. Maintenance Technician with a mechanical background to support our production operation. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position will be primarily responsible for routine maintenance activities and maintenance of change parts. To be successful in this role, the incumbent must be mechanically inclined, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and resolve machinery issues in an efficient manner.

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Perform general/routine maintenance on production equipment, including facility maintenance.
- Perform runtime maintenance checks.
- Perform changeovers and routine maintenance activities daily.
- Inspect change parts to ensure proper condition. Repair and/or identify issues proactively.
- Maintaining proper organization of change parts.
- Assist maintenance team as required.
- Ensure good housekeeping, and follow all health and safety, and food safety procedures.
- Complete maintenance records accurately, and in a timely manner as required.
- Other duties as required.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2 years experience in production maintenance.
- Experience in food sector preferred, but not required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude required.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 50lbs. on a regular basis.
- Ability to work well within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with ability to effectively communicate.
- Must have a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.
- Ability to work independent, as well as within a team.
- Flexible to work overtime as required.

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: From $23.00 per hour
