**Summary**

Reporting to the Team Leader - Underwriting Support, the Underwriting Assistant's main tasks will be to handle endorsements and to provide clerical support to underwriters in Canada (except Quebec).

**Main Responsibilities**

Processing endorsements and cancellations
- At the Underwriter's request
- Process and finalize endorsements
- Process routine termination requests
- Process termination requests for non-payment, aggravation of risk requiring the production of a registered letter

Administratives Tasks
- At the broker's request:

- Issue and/or approve insurance certificates
- Verify inspection reports sent by the inspector
- Follow-up with brokers to obtain any information or documents missing from the file (proposals, contact details, recommendations, Lead policy, etc.).
- At the insurer's request, correct slips

**Profile**
- 1 to 3 years' experience as an underwriting assistant
- Advanced level of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Meticulous
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to handle requests from several underwriters at the same time
- Ability to adapt to change
- Speed and autonomy
- Good sense of responsibility and priorities
