If you're reliable, have a clean driving record, and are committed to providing excellent service, we want to hear from you Join us in driving towards a cleaner, greener future. ***Position/Term**:Permanent**: ***Location**:Edmonton, Alberta**: ***Work Schedule**: 7 days on, 7 days off; 10-hour day shifts****: **What’s in it for me?**: - **Competitive Compensation**:Enjoy a competitive wage and overtime (if available). - **RRSP Contribution Matching Program**: Start shaping your future with immediate enrollment of Acden's matching program. - **Employee and Family Assistance Program**:We care about your well-being. - **Training and Development**:Access our fund program to enhance your skills**.**: - **Community Engagement**:Participate in Acden’s various community, family-oriented, and holiday events. - **Comprehensive Benefits**:Immediate enrollment in our group benefits plan, including health, dental, vision, disability insurance, and life insurance. - **Employee Perks**:Enjoy discounts provided by Acden and Perkopolis. - **Work/Life Balance**:Our flexible schedule allows you to maintain a healthy balance between work and life. **What I will be doing?** - Maintain waste services through collection and transportation of waste and equipment - Operate roll off truck and front load - Complete thorough Commercial Vehicle Inspections, including documenting and reporting deficiencies promptly to immediate supervisor - Inspect condition of waste bins, report defects, and monitor condition and functionality - Notify dispatch of delays, unsafe work sites, incidents, equipment breakdowns and/or maintenance or operation concerns - Ensure all waste services are completed in a safe and timely manner - Address and resolve client concerns and when appropriate refer inquires to Leadership **What does Acden need from me?** - Valid Class 1 License with airbrake endorsement is required - Three (3) or more years of professional truck driving experience adhering to the Alberta Provincial hours of service is required - Successfully complete a driver’s evaluation on a manual 18- speed Class 1 vehicle is required - Eligible to work on all Acden client sites is required - Valid Common Safety Orientation (CSO); or BSO certificate, or a combination of CSTS & OSSA is required - Ability to obtain clearance on drug, alcohol, hearing, and physical abilities pre-employment testing is required; this role is designated as safety - sensitive **What are "nice to haves"?** - Experience with manual transmission and previous Roll Off and front load experience is an asset - Load securement experience as per the Alberta Provincial Hours of Service Regulations is an asset Acden is 100% community-owned by the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation.
