We are currently seeking an experienced, reliable, and motivated **Mechanical Assembler** to add to our team

**Job Summary**:
The Mechanical Assembler's primary function is to build and assemble parts, pipe fittings, and enclosures. Handle, move, load, and unload material, mostly heavy metal, by hand or using a variety of material handling equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes in a high-trafficking manufacturing environment.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and product specifications, and understand tolerances to determine assembly operations.

2. Assist with rigging, hoisting, moving, and aligning large (up to 40 tons) subassemblies and components to storage areas or within the worksite using overhead cranes and forklifts using established safety precautions.

3. Fit and assemble simple and complex parts to build heavy industrial products and equipment according to drawings and product specifications.

4. Install major components such as tanks, dampers, large-scale frames, louvers, generators, insulation, soundproofing systems, and building panels using hand and power tools.

5. Thread and install piping and pipe spools using engineering assembly drawings.

6. Assist with documentation control and following company policies.

7. Handle, move, load, and unload products and materials by hand or using material handling equipment, including forklifts, overhead cranes, and tow motors operating established safety precautions. (Material handling)

8. Perform on-site installation, servicing, and repair for commissioning or warranty work on customer-finished products. (Service technician)

9. Provide feedback on design improvements through communication with the Supervisor and assist in preparing Engineering Change Requests.

10. Ensure standards for safe working conditions are observed following the Occupational Health and Safety Act and participate in regular safety talks. Perform a visual inspection of equipment, including cranes, forklifts, and other tools, to ensure they are in safe working condition.

**Job Specific Qualifications**:
1. Apprenticeship in Industrial Mechanic Millwright preferred.

2. Minimum 5-9 years experience in a heavy industrial equipment environment, and mechanical assembly

3. Ability to travel within North America with a valid passport and driver's license.

4. Must have own power and hand tools.

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
