Financial and Business Analyst

Louis W Bray Construction is looking for a detail-oriented Financial and Business Analyst to perform and coordinate finance and ERP duties within our organization at our head office, with the possibility of a Hybrid work model. The Financial and Business Analysts’ responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the G/L, assisting with audit and tax preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. In addition, the individual will be responsible for ERP data extraction, reporting, configuration changes, and enhancements.
Major duties include but are not limited to;
- Coordinating accounting functions and programs.
- Preparing financial analyses and reports.
- Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
- Assisting with annual audit and tax preparations.
- Contributing to the development of accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
- Performing other accounting duties and supporting other team staff as required or assigned.
- Bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, and inventory tracking.
- HST remittances, WSIB remittances.
- Credit card administration.
- Financial and non-financial reporting.
- Creation of various reports through data extraction, pivot tables, and Power Query.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
- A minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Working knowledge of GAAP.
- Strong financial analysis skills.
- Strong ERP systems skills, including configuration and importing/exporting data.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and stress management skills.
- Driven to succeed and a positive attitude.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables and Power Query
- Ability to train others.
- Ability to work with little to no supervision.
- Experience with the use and/or configuration of Viewpoint Vista is considered an asset.
- Experience using Crystal reports is considered an asset.
- Experience working with detailed job costing is considered an asset.
- Experience working in the construction industry is considered an asset.
