Manage the STT quality system, actively engaged in equipment inspection, accuracy to print, validation of final product prior to shipping to customers. Identifying and reporting deficiencies through the appropriate channels for resolution and follow-up actions to prevent recurrence. Validation of internal and external manufacturing methods for meeting system requirements.
- Overall leadership of STT’s 5-person Shop team.
- Enhancement of existing quality program, development of processes and procedures within the quality group.
- Follow-up on quality deviations, deficiency resolution, identification of root cause, and non conformance reports within the business.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure quality system compliance.
- Ability to establish and manage a network of third-party inspectors capable of fulfilling project requirements
- Point of contact with auditor(s) in support of external audit(s).
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Maintain and update internal Quality Manual, Quality Control process and procedures.
- Creates, modifies, supports, and retains inspection documents.
- Development of Inspection Test Plans (ITP) including scheduling and hold points in manufacturing, in conjunction with internal and external shop personnel, inspectors, and vendors. Communicates internally/externally requirements with order.
- Support Project Manager in creation of Quality documentation as required for all customers.
- Implement quality control procedures, inspection instructions, control measuring and test equipment.
- Lead inspection program and witness tests (as applicable) in determination of acceptability of work as required. The ability to enter confined spaces, climb and wear all appropriate personal protection as required
- Employ organizational skills that effectively minimize obstacles that negatively impact the project. When obstacles arise, employ sound decision-making/problem-solving skills to resolve the issue.
- Incorporate positive interpersonal skills when communicating or interacting with shop personnel, management, vendors, and customers.
- Provide necessary interface with customer's inspectors on all aspects of quality.
- Monitor subcontractor work to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures and codes when applicable.
- Perform system verification on completed systems to assure correct installation per design specifications.
- Maintain work performance records, inspection records and other related items and ensure correctness.
- Conducts internal audits to ensure compliance with quality program.
- Lead point of contact with external auditor(s) for quality system compliance/verification audits.
- Ensure compliance with STT’s requirements under ISO 9001:2015.
- Ensure and enforce compliance to all company, client and legislated Safety policies and procedures

Basic Qualifications
- 7-10 years of Quality Control/Management Experience in manufacturing/construction industry.
- Experience managing direct reports
- College degree in a related discipline is preferred
- Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, piping drawings, electrical schematics
- Knowledge of AWS and CWS requirements a plus
- Experience with Non-destructive testing (NDT) methods (MT, PT, UT, X-ray), OSHA & MSHA standards a plus.
- Computer software: Microsoft Office (Windows, Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint); Bluebeam, use of the Internet. Ability to learn other software if required with company-provided training.

- Typical hours: 37.5 hour work weeks - hours vary due to work. Additional hours may be required
