**Position: Junior to Intermediate Environmental Scientist**

**Reporting to: Project Managers**

**Primary Location: Drayton Valley, Alberta**

**Job Status: Full-time employee**

**Generally Monday-Fridays approx. 7:30 am - 4:30 pm**

**Some weekends and late days will be required, esp. in field season. Will be requested to travel and work away from home from time to time.**

**Compensation**:

- Negotiable and competitive: commensurate with formal credentials, demonstrated skills, and applicable industry experience; range of $25 to $32/hr
- Hourly with 1.5x for all time worked over 8 hours in a day or 44 hours in a week, which ever comes first;
**The Position**:
We are looking for hard working, ambitious individuals to join and help grow our regulatory team. Duties could include, but are not limited, to:

- Assist / conduct field work during spill response, ground disturbance, site assessment, remediation, oilfield waste and drilling waste management and reclamation;
- Assist / conduct Phase 1 and Phase 2 environmental site assessments (field work and reporting);
- Assist / conduct water and soil sampling for laboratory testing, and field screening as required;
- Assist with Wildlife Sweeps, Wildlife Surveys, Aquatic Assessments and Pre-site assessments.
- Assist with technical reporting for all field deliverables.

- Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, such as remote or isolated areas and in inclement weather (within safe and reasonable limits).

**Education**
- Degree or diploma in sciences or a related environmental field.
- Intermediate level would be expected to have a minimum 2 years experience working in the environmental field, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
- A range of academic credentials would be of interest. Experience in the field and interest in career development with a growing company in Drayton Valley, AB is more important than academic credentials.

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
