Business Development Executive

The Business Development Executive is responsible for finding net new customers that belong in the Educational, Contract Cleaning, Health Care and Government sectors within a specific geographic area. In addition, they will work with the local sales managers to identify underdeveloped local customers. They will have a small book of existing clients allowing at least 40 to 50% of their time to develop new customers. They will be supported by sales coordinators.
**_ Responsibilities:_**
- Manage and market product assortment and information to existing and new customers to allow easy sourcing and purchasing.
- Provide quick responses and solutions to all inquiries and problems.
- Understand our customers and bring new and innovative products and solutions to help them grow their business.
- Develop and train our customers on the effective use of Digital technology and innovation
- Drive revenues and market share by targeting strategic key accounts and pursuing a strategic plan.
- Partners with marketing, finance, purchasing, technical service, HR and management to develop and deliver compelling customer presentations, and/or unique offerings.
- Provide direction, feedback, and collaborating support to Strategic Account team in the development and execution of program offerings unique to key accounts.
- Develop comprehensive account plans that help achieve beneficial results for both Bunzl and the customer and full accountability for all aspects of the sales process.
- Accountable for flawless execution of account plans internally and externally, developing specific business objectives, action plans, milestones, and a timeline to guide the execution of the plan.
- Ongoing oversight and key account management responsibility for key account performance, problem-resolution, broadening/deepening planning at highest levels of excellence, working collaboratively with Bunzl resources to ensure premium customer experience.
- Special projects and participation as required.
**_Requirements:_**
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Cleaning & Hygiene Sales or Marketing with experience in account development with 3 of those years in sales with national/strategic accounts.
- Proven account development, onboarding, and account management skills including strategic planning and execution, creativity, communication, and administration.
- Proficient at generating specific customer-based opportunities through regional and national analysis.
- Excellent Microsoft Suite and CRM abilities. Willingness to learn and manipulate customer specific software to provide insight into the business and identify gaps and areas for improvement.
- Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to prospect and develop an integrated strategy in both product and program.
- Strong presentation, written, and oral communication skills required for interaction with internal and external clients.
- Strong financial acumen and negotiating skills.
