We are looking to add ON CALL Machine Operators to our Snow Removal Crew

**Job Description**:

- Respond promptly to calls for snow and ice events
- You must be available and ready to work when called upon 24/7
- Reliable and dedicated
- Physically fit - ability to lift 50lbs
- Work independently and as part of a team

Duties May Include:

- Removing of snow
- Salting
- Maintaining residential and commercial properties
- Cleaning of equipment
- Previous experience considered an asset
- Performing a daily circle check on equipment operated.
- Following equipment maintenance schedule as required.
- General labour duties such as preparing materials and cleanup of site area.
- Following all Newport work policies, practices and procedures.
- Must possess a clean drivers abstract.
- Other duties as required

**ON-CALL EXPECTED 24/7**
- **Wage: (rate based on experience) + $100.00 ON-CALL BONUS Weekly.**:

- **MUST ATTEND ALL CALLED UPON SHIFTS TO QUALIFY FOR BONUS PAY**

**Casual Back Up Operator**:

- **Wage: (rate determined based on experience)**
- 3 years Tractor/Loader Operating experience.
- A valid driver’s licence with the ability to get to and from the job site. (Must possess a clean drivers abstract).
- The ability to operate equipment safely. Able to submit a driver’s abstract upon request.
- All snow positions may lead to full-time employment. Hiring for this position is ongoing and will be filled as required._
- Contract Length: Asap until approx. March 2025._

**Job Types**: Fixed term contract, Casual, Seasonal

Pay: $26.00-$35.00 per hour
