We are enthusiastically searching for a MOA (Medical Office Assistant) to join our wonderful medical family We have two outstanding family practice based clinics in the heart of Mahogany which is situated in SE Calgary. Mahogany Medical Clinic and The Village Medical specializes in Family Practice and Women's Health. Working hours are Monday-Friday (evenings shifts may be required). We strive to maintain an inviting and warm environment and culture at the clinic on a daily basis. Responsibilities and Duties - Coordinating patient care through the clinic. - Managing and updating patient records on the EMR. - Greet patients, make them feel welcome. - Rooming patients and taking vital signs as required. - Ensuring the correct requisitions are prepared for the physicians. - Assist with procedures/chaperone if necessary. - Cleans and sterilize beds and instruments following universal precautions and best practice guidelines. - Prepare examination rooms. - Maintains medical supplies and equipment for all examination rooms and procedures. - 1 year experience is preferred. - Completion of a Medical Office Assistant program or equivalent. - Computer skills required (60 wpm minimum typing speed) - Proficient in using an Apple MAC. - EMR experience - working knowledge of Telus Med Access preferred. - Ability to work independently and in a team environment. - Communicate effectively (phone & in person) with patients and all members of the healthcare team. - Must have good phone etiquette - Able to work in a friendly, fast paced environment. - Demonstration of excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills. - Team player with a strong work ethic and a desire to continuously learn and improve skills. - Demonstrates a strong passion for family practice and maternity based health care. - Professional appearance, well-groomed, and always dressed in scrubs. - Professional etiquette at all times. - Reliable with a "can-do" attitude. - Ability to multi-task is a key trait for success in this role. - Retail experience/customer service experience preferred.
