Production Manager

**Role**
You will have a unique opportunity to lead a cross functional team of individuals that engineers a new generation of high speed, automated manufacturing equipment. You will manage the production team that defines and executes new processes to deliver high quality machinery. You will collaborate with your team, design engineers, and operations engineers to drive improvements to manufacturing methods and deliver high-quality solutions on time.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage a team of supervisors, technicians, and engineers on a dynamic production schedule
- Provide technical direction and mentorship for team members to ensure quality of deliverables and capability of team members
- Drive innovation within your team to refine processes and strategize changes that increase manufacturing efficiency and capabilities
- Lead the overall manufacturing development strategy for the areas under ownership for key metrics: quality, delivery, and cost. Actively measure team's performance against these metrics
- Identify automation opportunities and establish requirements as well as evaluate return on investment for each. Work with in-house resources or vendors as necessary to develop these solutions and implement on production line
- Develop and/or source new tools and capital equipment to drive harness manufacturing new heights of performance
- Drive design change for manufacturing (DFM) best practices and design for test (DFT) with design engineers and test engineers
- Create, maintain and communicate production schedules with sufficient detail to ensure that all assigned personnel are aware of their tasks and deadlines
- Identify internal and external resources required to support production
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, systems, electrical, materials, operations, aerospace or manufacturing engineering
- 5+ years of experience working in an automation environment
- 5+ years of experience leading a team of field engineers and technicians
