The Privacy and Insurance Coordinator is a term role that is responsible for two key portfolios in the Legislative Services Department. The first portfolio is managing the insurance and legal claims served on the municipality and acting as the main municipal contact with the Municipal Insurance Association of British Columbia (MIABC). Regular duties include managing insurance claims, providing advice, guidance and support to municipal departments related to insurance and other legal claims. The second portfolio is coordinating Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, acting as the Resort Municipality of Whistler’s (RMOW) main liaison in privacy issues, and providing advice, guidance and support to municipal departments related to privacy matters.

As a requirement of the position, the successful applicant must provide a satisfactory Police Information Check prior to beginning employment.
