**Position Summary**:
The Gary Allan Learning Centre's Adult Languages Program is hiring qualified LINC/ESL Instructors to teach adult English as a Second Language courses using the CLB standards and framework. Successful applicants will be hired to the supply instructor pool. When class enrollments support adding an additional class or classes, teaching assignments will be offered to those in the supply instructor pool.

**Qualifications**:

- OCELT designation ()
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, in an adult second language learning environment.
- Strong understanding of and experience in using the Canadian Language Benchmarks and the associated Curriculum Guidelines.
- Solid experience providing instruction using a variety of online delivery tools and software. Experience with GoogleClassroom, an asset.
- Ability to adapt teaching methodology to the needs/skill levels of learners.
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience developing and delivering sector specific language training, an asset.
- Conducts classes in a respectful and engaging manner, which fosters self-directed learning leading to the achievement of personal goals.
- Design, implement and instruct classes based on the PBLA (Portfolio Based Language Assessment) guidelines. Knowledge & experience assessing learners' language gains and progress using PBLA protocols.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to work independently.
- Ability to design units/lessons in a culturally diverse and respectful learning environment.
