**Job description**

We are looking for a Full-Time HR & Safety Coordinator who is eager to learn and grow their career in Human Resources to join our team Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, you will support the company by performing various administrative tasks and functions mostly related to on/off-boarding, benefits administration, employee management etc. The position functions in an environment where considerable attention to detail and the ability to handle highly confidential material is required. The HR Coordinator is expected to be customer service-oriented and exhibit a high degree of diplomacy and discretion.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the day-to-day operations of the HR department
- Job posting, pre-screening & interviewing
- Facilitate new hire orientations
- Maintain information in HRIS to ensure consistency and integrity of HR data as per HR administration guidelines and conduct timely audits
- Create HR-related reports, resources and communications materials including handbooks, company policies, etc.
- Assist in strategizing and solutioning with managers on performance and/or disciplinary issues
- Engage in employee relations; ensuring that company guidelines are administered in a fair, non-discriminatory manner.
- Process benefit enrolment forms
- Ad hoc HR administrative projects as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications:

- Post-secondary education in Human Resources and/or Business Administration strongly preferred
- 1 - 2 years' experience in an entry-level human resources or similar role in a dynamic, fast paced environment, with a strong customer service orientation (recent graduates are welcome to apply)
- Must possess tact, diplomacy and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Sense of urgency with the ability to respond in a timely and efficient manner
- Take ownership to plan and prioritize work to meet commitments and organizational goals
- Demonstrate the ability to gain confidence and trust of others
- Ability to relate comfortably with people across all levels of an organization and interact effectively with all types of individuals
- Exceptional written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Employment Standards Act required

Bonus Points:

- You are tech savvy with the ability to solve you own problems.
- You have previous HR manufacturing experience.

Full time: 40 hours per week
