Weldco-Beales Manufacturing designs and manufactures specialized heavy equipment attachments for the construction, forestry, mining, scrap recycling, road maintenance**and resource industries throughout Canada, the USA and internationally. Weldco-Beales is currently recruiting an experienced **Fitter/Fabricator**for the **Edmonton**manufacturing team. This position will report to the **General Foreman.**

What you will do:

- Work with heavy plate steel
- Read and interpret and blueprints
- Plan the sequence of tasks and assemble parts according to drawings
- Fabricate steel weldments and use measuring instruments
- Assemble and fit metal sections and plates together to form complete units or sub-units
- Fasten components together (by tack weld) in preparation for a welder to complete the process
- Transport raw materials and finished metal products manually, using hoists or other devices
- Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal and other materials
- Grind and deburr sharp edges from metal parts using hand and power tools
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes
- Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment
- Perform other duties as required

Your qualifications:

- Red Seal Certified or an equivalent certification in Fabrication or Welding
- 4+ years experience in Fabrication or Welding
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous quality
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem solving skills to methodically and logically work through problems
- Be proficient in the use of all tools common to the fabrication shop environment

- Ability to lift items weighing up to 20 kg.
