Laminator Operator

Ridgewood is a subdivision of Ameriwood Home, a division of the Dorel Home segment of Dorel Industries, who specializes in domestically manufactured and imported RTA furniture sold through the brick & mortar sales channel throughout the United States and Canada. For our Cornwall facility, we are searching for a:
Laminator Operator
(2nd Shift - 3:30PM - 12:00AM)
$21.20/hr. plus $1.50/hr. shift premium
**Job Summary**:

- Assist in setting up the Laminator according to the production schedule template.
- Safely operate machines to ensure production rates are met.
- Perform routine quality checks.
- Ensure efficient operation of machine.
- Completes load tags, tally sheets and production reporting forms.
- Help train and guide new employees (laborers or operators) with the proper operation of the respective machines.
- Performs general labourer duties as directed.
- Perform other related tasks.

**Requirements**:

- Obtain a passing grade on a written and practical test.
- Ability to master the operator’s manuals.
- Demonstrate the ability to use and understand a metric/imperial measuring tool such as measuring tape and caliper.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
- Able to work with minimum supervision.
- Physically fit and able to lift 25 kg.
- Able to distinguish colors and small details.
- Position requires continuous standing, bending, and walking.
- Basic computer skills.
