**Position Overview**

Under the direction of the Buyer, the Assistant Buyer is someone who support the team with all procurement-related tasks such as product data management and update (SAP and CRM), place purchase orders, monitoring delivery dates, monitoring inventories and all other procurement and inventory task.

**Qualifications**

**Education**:

- required ACS/ AEC Gestion des approvisionnements or College degree

**Experience**:

- Ability to effectively operate all equipment and computer programs associated with the parts department

**Other Requirements**:

- Written and oral communication skills
- Excel, Word, Outlook, ERP required
- Attention to detail; ability to remain focused and organized
- SAP knowledge.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Supply Chain Management in distribution environment required

**Responsibilities**

**Purchasing**:

- Provide regular purchase orders to factories and vendors to ensure products are produced on time and delivered to customers or warehouse according to planned dates
- Track shipped orders and report estimated arrival dates to necessary parties
- Analyze and revise future shipment plans as needed: includes expediting, delaying, or cancelling orders
- Assist with updating purchasing and standard costs when needed

**Data management**:

- Record, update and maintain product data in SAP and CRM.

**Safety**:

- Follow all safety policies

**Maintain Work Practices**:

- Maintain work environment to 5S standards
- Punctual: begins work on time and returns from lunch and breaks on time
- All paperwork and database entries filled out completely and accurately
- Promote a positive team atmosphere with co-workers
