**We are currently looking for HACCP Coordinator to join our growing team here at Stampede North, Cambridge facility.**
- ** 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday to Friday**
**Position Summary**:Reporting to the QA manager, the HACCP Coordinator is accountable for implementing and maintaining the HACCP program and to ensure that the Company's objectives for food safety, quality and regulatory compliance meet or exceed Regulatory requirements.
**Role and Responsibilities**:
- Manage HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) program which includes maintaining, implementation and verification of procedures, documents, validations, processes and perform reassessment to ensure compliance to all applicable regulations.
- Responsible for reporting and recommending corrective actions and preventative measures based on Root Cause Analysis to implement compliance.
- Assist with ensuring that metal detectors and analytical scales are calibrated properly and in good working order.
- Development of training material and conduct training on food safety and quality requirements for management and associates.
- Accountable for preparation and participation in all internal/third party/CFIA audits
- Act as a liaison with Pests Controller Contractor (Abell), ensure the properly pest controller measures are in place within the facility.
- Maintain professional interaction with third party auditors /CFIA/Contractors and assist CFIA with CVS Tasks.
- Provide coverage for QA Manager and QA Technicians during vacation and be able to lead the team of Quality Assurance Technicians in absence of the QA Manager.
- Collaborate with the Production Team, during the creation and testing of new production ensuring that the meet customer and food safety standards.
- Provide cooking evaluation and taste production samples including meat, vegetables, meatless proteins, and seafood products.
- Preform monthly building audits and daily storage inspections.
- Organize and lead HACCP team meetings for the Prepared Foods HACCP team.
- Able to address concerns/issues with appropriate management through verbal and written communication.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities deemed necessary by QA Manager.
**Requirements**:
- Must have at least 1-3 years of Food Safety and/or Food Manufacturing experience.
- Must have completed HACCP Certification.
- A post-secondary education in Food Science/Processing or related discipline is considered a **strong asset**.
- ** Must be capable of tasting samples of meat, vegetables, and seafood products.**:
- Knowledge of and previous experience with **BRC audits **is an asset
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills and previous experience with conducting Root Cause Analysis is considered a strong asset.
- Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills is considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of GMP, GFSI, Quality Regulatory requirements and systems.
- Strong computer knowledge and ability to work with various programs (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
- A strong understands the concepts of Continuous Improvement and uses them to drive Food Safety Culture.
- An enthusiastic self-starter, who is able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Able to work in a cool environment (we mean that both ways
