Dental Assistant/receptionist

**Job Summary**:
**Work Hours**: Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
**Key Responsibilities**:
**As a Dental Receptionist**:
- Greet and welcome patients with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, both in person and over the phone
- Handle patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring all necessary forms and insurance information are collected
- Answer and direct phone calls, address patient inquiries, and provide information about services
- Maintain accurate patient records, update information, and process payments
- Coordinate patient referrals and communicate with dental specialists
- Manage office supplies and ensure the reception area is clean and organized
**As a Dental Assistant**:
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures (e.g., fillings, crowns, extractions, etc.)
- Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms following infection control protocols
- Ensure patients are comfortable and informed throughout their procedures
- Provide post-procedure care instructions to patients
- Maintain accurate patient notes and charts during and after procedures
- Assist with inventory management of dental materials and supplies
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist and/or dental assistant is a plus
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and office protocols
- Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Tracker, Cleardent) is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities as needed
