**As the next Program Officer, you will be **managing project grants, supporting the implementation of program strategies for knowledge synthesis, monitoring and evaluation, and communications and engagement by advancing research **in support of international development.**
Location: Ottawa, Canada (Hybrid Mode*)
Employment Status: Term 36 months

**You have**:
- A PhD or a Masters degree relevant to the program area with a record of research and publication a record of research management.
- Proficiency in French and English (reading, writing and speaking).
- Demonstrated research experience and understanding of gender equality, equity, and inclusion issues in current global education policy challenges.
- Significant experience in project management, problem-solving and facilitating collaborative and transdisciplinary research.
- Experience in grant management, monitoring and evaluation, and knowledge mobilization.
- A good understanding of the challenges of gender equality and women's empowerment in improving education systems worldwide.

- Championing gender equality, equity and inclusion issues in applied research to strengthen education systems.
- Working closely with senior education specialists to manage grants for applied research projects with a range of universities, think tanks, NGOs in Asia and Africa.
- Supporting the implementation of program strategies for knowledge synthesis, monitoring and evaluation, as well as communications and engagement strategies.
- Implementing competitive call processes to attract, select and approval of new projects that strengthen the resilience of education systems.
- Improving research uptake by linking on-going research with national decision-making and global networks.
- Joining an organization that values and models diversity, inclusion, and equity.

**Additional Information**:
- Hybrid Mode: Have the flexibility to work in hybrid mode (minimum 3 days out of 10 in the office).
This position requires frequent international travel.
