Horizontal Boring Mill Machinist

Romac Metal Works is growing. We are seeking a professional individual capable of taking care of the machine, the job, the position within a safety first, air conditioned environment.

Up to 20 Ton over head crane, Machine travel of up to 5 metre with rotary B-Axis, Toshiba and Tos Varnsdorf boring mills.

Individual must be experienced with proven skills in:

- setup,
- program editing,
- tool selection,
- tool parameter setting,
- use of measuring instruments.

Desired Skills and Experience

1. Recognized Certificate of Qualification as Machinist or equivalent work experience required

2. Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills

3. Minimum of 5 years related experience required in machining

4. Operating knowledge of various machines (Boring Mill, CNC Boring Mill)

5. Ability to utilize overhead crane to lift and maneuver large work pieces safely

6. CNC programming and set up abilities, an asset

7. Excellent troubleshooting skills to resolve issues with sound judgment

8. Knowledge of Mastercam is an asset

9. Knowledge of GD&T an asset.

10. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

11. Good mathematical skills
