**Location**: Remote office with the ability to travel to our office in Vancouver as required, and to communities for client work.

**Summary**
Under the direction of the Vice President, Strategic Engagement and Communications, the Specialist, Strategic Engagement and Communications will be a primary point of contact with clients and will coordinate or manage project resources across the practice area and the company. The Specialist will have excellent written and oral communications skills and is passionate about partnering with Indigenous communities and organizations to support our client’s vision for the future.

The Specialist has demonstrated expertise in strategic engagement and/or communications, they lead client relationships and they manage people and resources inside projects. The Specialist also provides overall project support to other practice areas based on their experience and expert knowledge of strategic engagement and/or communications.

**Job responsibilities**
- Project Management Responsibilities_
- Work with the Castlemain leadership team to coordinate project resources;
- Manage a range of client projects from smaller projects to those of intermediate scope, complexity and duration;
- Work with the corporate team to ensure project time and expenses are accurately tracked;
- Develop work plans, budgets and schedules and manage all aspects of their execution during the lifecycle of a project;
- Act as the primary point of contact and work closely with our clients to keep them informed of progress and make relevant project decisions;
- Manage scope change and change order processes; and
- Develop and implement recommendations/solutions and ensure our clients receive the necessary assistance to carry project work forward.

**_Strategic Engagement /Community Engagement_**
- Provide expert advice to the Vice President, Strategic Engagement and Communications during the development of project proposals and during development of work plans with our Indigenous clients;
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of various community engagement processes and engagement practices and work together with the Vice President, Strategic Engagement and Communications to see this knowledge further strengthen the client work at Castlemain;
- Organize all aspects of strategic engagement events, which could range from community meetings, workshops, forums, and AGAs to large province wide or Canada wide summits;
- Communicate effectively with our clients;
- Work with our clients to develop communications and engagement strategies, which often include specific communications tactics and plans ;
- Maintain expertise and currency in industry leading information; and
- Write or oversee various research and/or communications documents, website content, press releases, client communications materials and more, both for clients as
