**Job Title**: Territory Sales Representative
**Location**: Edmonton, AB
**About the Role**:
The **Territory Sales Representative** will be instrumental in driving business growth across multiple markets within a designated territory, focusing on promoting our innovative engineered products and solutions. This role will engage with end users, engineering firms, contractors, and distributors, particularly in the** **light industrial, **commercial** and residential **sectors.** You’ll play a pivotal role in developing relationships, driving sales, and supporting our local distribution network.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- ** Sales & Promotion**: Advocate and sell our products, concepts, and services to a range of stakeholders including prospects, specifiers, buyers, distributors, and end-users.
- ** Market Research & Strategy**: Conduct market research to gather competitive intelligence and inform sales strategy. Regularly report findings to your manager for strategic planning.
- ** Sales Planning**: Set and achieve sales objectives, strategies, and forecasts in collaboration with your manager. Adapt and adjust based on market trends.
- ** Client Relations**: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects, and distributors to ensure long-term partnerships and repeat business.
- ** Promotional Activities**: Organize and execute promotion plans with managerial approval, including presentations, regional shows, training seminars, branch visits, and installation tours.
- ** Project Development**: Identify and pursue significant construction, expansion, and retrofit projects with high Victaulic sales potential.
- ** Cross-territory Collaboration**: Work closely with corporate sales teams to maximize inter-territorial sales opportunities.
- ** Distributor Development**: Strengthen and develop distributor networks to ensure excellent customer service standards are consistently met.
- ** Pricing Strategy**: Adhere to pricing guidelines and recommend special pricing for managerial approval when necessary.
- ** Specification Improvement**: Continuously improve clients’ written specifications to better suit Victaulic products.
- ** Skill Development**: Stay up-to-date on industry knowledge and skills. Communicate training needs to your manager to ensure continual improvement.
- ** Team Collaboration**: Work closely with inside sales, engineering, and support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- ** Quality Improvement**: Actively participate in quality workgroup meetings and consistently pursue ways to improve your work and processes.
- ** Reporting**: Provide timely reports on activities, progress, market trends, ideas, and expenses as required or requested.
**Desired Skills & Experience**:
- ** Industry Experience**: 2-5 years of outside sales experience, ideally within the construction industry, with knowledge of sectors such as HVAC, industrial, building products, mining, oil, municipal, or the pipe, valve, and fittings industry.
- ** Relationship Building**: Proven track record of interacting effectively with contractors, owners, and distributors, resulting in long-term relationships.
- ** Organizational Skills**: Exceptional organizational and communication skills, coupled with a mechanical aptitude and ability to interact with diverse customers.
- ** Education**: A college or university degree is preferred.
- ** Travel Flexibility**: Willingness to travel frequently, with overnight travel comprising approximately 30% of your schedule.

**Salary**: $75k+ (based on experience) + (car, uncapped commission & bonus)
