Optician

Shift is 8:15 AM to 5:30 PM Monday to Friday, Full time.

Our Opticians at Whitby Vision Care, are the eyecare experts within our team as we deliver best in class customer service and exceptional product knowledge. Our Opticians are friendly, motivated and always embody our company core values in every patient interaction.

You will be part of a fast paced team that together represents the organization and image of Whitby Vision Care in a professional and positive manner.

You will have the opportunity to service many different types of patients leveraging your professional skills to grow your career at Whitby Vision Care.

What you will do:

- Perform eyeglass fittings, adjustments and consultations
- Take accurate and advanced measurements
- Educate patients on proper eye care, supplements and procedures
- OCT, Visual Fields and Retinal imaging
- Answer phones
- Directly bill insurance companies for patients
- Verify prescription eyeglasses to meet provincial standards

Expected hours: 42 per week
