**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the VP of HR, this role will help in the development and delivery of employee communication plans, programs, and activities that inform, excite, and inspire our employees by building connections across our strategic priorities, Human Resources initiatives, and employees’ workplace experiences.

**Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to the department strategy through content planning, development, and distribution of Human Resources communications programs.
- Leverage additional opportunities for internal communications to increase understanding across a broad range of employee experience-related topics and activities.
- Help in producing and editing highly creative written, visual content for the Ainsworth communications channels.
- Support activities related to the creation and distribution of employee announcements internally as well as externally when appropriate.
- Develop and maintain strong working partnerships with stakeholders throughout the organization and serve as a resource regarding employee-related communications.
- Produce and distribute a regular electronic newsletter for internal audiences, coordinating information submitted from stakeholders.
- Ensure quality of communications and their compliance to corporate standards; ensure all necessary approvals are secured before publication.
- Ensure all internal communications are focused on maintaining and strengthening Ainsworth culture through strategic fit and appropriate tone and content
- Make presentations and draft reports.

**Qualifications**:

- 1-3 years of experience in a related role, and have a degree in Administration, Marketing Communication, or Policy or are pursuing a degree in one of these fields
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite, Adobe CS5
- Experience managing or supporting the development and maintenance of an intranet.
- Knowledge of marketing and public relations principles.
- Outstanding attention to detail, and proven experience in proofreading and editing documents, with high caliber, accurate writing skills.
- Tech-savvy, multi-tasker, and thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized with demonstrated ability to plan and execute multiple priorities with tight deadlines and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to foster positive working relationships and responsibly handle confidential information
- A thorough grasp of the Microsoft Office suite of products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
